Australia - New Zealand

1st Day Los Angeles - Depart from Los Angeles International Airport on your evening flight via Qantas, Australian Airways. Cross the International Date Line and lose one day en route "Down Under".

3rd Day Cairns - Morning arrival into Cairns, Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. You will be met and transferred by motorcoach to your hotel and the remainder of the day is at leisure. This evening enjoy a "Welcome Buffet Dinner"

4th Day Cairns - Enjoy a full day excursion by Catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef, stopping at Opulu Cay at the edge of the Outer Barrier Reef. Here you will take a guided tour viewing the coral and underwater life of the reef by glass bottom boat. A buffet lunch will be served on board and there is time for snorkeling. Enjoy live entertainment during the sail back to Cairns.

5th Day Cairns - Today is free to return to the reef independently, or take an optional tour aboard the world famous Kuranda Scenic Railway to Kuranda Village. Stroll through the bustling marketplace of the village before continuing to the Rain Forest to learn about the aboriginal culture, attending a typical dance performance.

6th Day Cairns/Sydney - Transfer to the airport after breakfast for the flight to Sydney. After transferring to your hotel enjoy an afternoon tour of the city visiting the Southern beaches including Bondi and Rose Bay, bohemian Kings Cross and restored Paddington Village, the 70 acre Botanical Gardens, the impressive Sydney Opera House and the historic Rocks area with its lively pubs and nightlife.

7th Day Sydney - Enjoy a morning cruise of Sydney Harbor for a unique view of the city with a stop for lunch at Benelong Restaurant. The afternoon is free. Arrangements can be made in advance for dinner and a performance at the Sydney Opera House.

8th Day Sydney/Melbourne - After breakfast transfer to the airport for the flight to historic Melbourne. After arriving at your hotel enjoy an afternoon tour of this sophisticated Victorian city visiting the lovely Fitzroy Gardens, the City Square, the Victorian Arts Centre, the old Parliament House and the Town Hall.

9th Day Melbourne - After a relaxing morning at leisure enjoy an afternoon tour to Phillip Island, the largest reserve of Fairy Penguins in the World. During this unique excursion you will see the captivating Fairy Penguins suddenly appear from the sea and parade to their overnight burrows.

10th Day Melbourne/Christchurch - After breakfast at your hotel transfer to the airport for the flight to New Zealand's South Island and the city of Christchurch. A city tour upon arrival will stop at the lovely Cathedral Square, then drive along the rambling Avon River lined with elegant stone buildings in gothic style.

11th Day Christchurch/Queenstown - An exciting day today as after breakfast at your hotel you depart for Mt. Cook, the Gateway to the New Zealand Alps. Enjoy lunch at the famous Hermitage Lodge with its imposing view of Mt. Cook . An optional trip by plane for an aerial view of the area is available before you continue to Queenstown, the country's leading resort.

12th Day Queenstown - Today is left free in the premier resort town to explore the area independently, or to take advantage of some of the many excursions and facilities that are available.

13th Day Queenstown -  A full day touring today driving through the dense forests of the Fiord Land National Park, past beautiful Lake Te Anau and the Homer Tunnel to Milford Sound. Here you board a launch for a breathtaking cruise through the fjords past thundering waterfalls amid the soaring alpine mountains. Return to Queenstown and your hotel.

14th Day Queenstown/Auckland - Transfer to the airport after breakfast for the flight to New Zealand's capital in the North Island, Auckland. In the afternoon a city tour of this "City of Sails" passes the Auckland War Memorial Museum, continues along Waterfront Drive and then ascends Mt. Eden for a panoramic view over the city and surrounding area.

15th Day Auckland/Los Angeles - Full day at leisure before transfer to the airport in the evening for your return flight to the United States. Once again you will cross the International Date Line to arrive into Los Angeles on the same calendar day. Continue to Greensboro.
